Forthnet Group consists, among other companies, of Forthnet, the major private broadband company in Greece and of Netmed Hellas and Multichoice Hellas (nova), which constitute the major private entity of radio and television services provision in the country. Regarding Forthnet
Forthnet is the major private company of broadband services provision in Greece. It was established in October of 1995 and since 2000, is listed in the main market of Athens Stock Exchange.
With the use of state-of-the-art technology and fully exploiting its know-how, Forthnet offers a broad range of broadband services, putting emphasis on the fields of Internet and fixed telephony, to private individuals, enterprises, and Public Sector entities throughout Greece. NETMED HELLAS broadcasts since 1994 in the Greek territory, with the terrestrial analogue method, the pay TV programs novacinema 1 and novasports1/Disney xd, while at the same time it provides Multichoice Hellas, as a TV programs operator, with the pay TV programs novacinema1, novacinema2, novacinema3, novasports1, novasports2, novasports3, novasports4, novasports highlights, novasports6 and novasports7.
Syned is a telecommunication services provision company with registered offices in Kantza, Attica. It was established in April of 1996 in Athens under the name Synergistic Network Developments S.A. Today the company holds an important position in the filed of satellite telecommunication services in Greece with space capacity that leases in the Hotbird satellites of Eutelsat organization. It is the first company in Greece, which installed and operates technical facilities for digital satellite broadcasting of radio and TV programs directly to the public.
